Description

This tour visits 2 of Puerto Rico's most iconic spots: El Yunque National Rainforest and the famous Piñones in Loiza. The first stop is in a remote area deep inside El Yunque, the only rainforest under the US Parks Services. El Yunque is a MUST for any traveler visiting the island. This by itself makes it a rather unique place, but when you learn the history of the area (which we will give you), you will understand that this place is much more special than expected. Our visit to El Yunque will be through areas that are not heavily transited. We do not go to the touristy places nor will we take you in a 30 passenger van. We believe nature must be appreciated wholly and you cannot do that in a crowd. In El Yunque we will hike, see waterfalls, and cliff jump in blue pools. We do not go to the “slides” as they arent really inside the boundaries of the Rainforest and have gotten quite crowded in the past few years. It is almost a guarantee that we will be the only people in the whole area, thats how remote we go. The second stop is Piñones: a must visit stop for foodies and beach lovers alike. Piñones is iconic for 3 reasons: The beaches, the food and the people. We will visit a beach that is absolutely breathtaking. At the beach we will relax among the friendly locals who will undoubtedly be there enjoying the beauty. Afterwards we will visit a mom-&-pop food stand where we get delicious food from the locals. We can also stop for Mojitos before we return back to the San Juan Area. This tour requires hiking and trekking. Participants should expect to get soaked during the hike as we cross the river at various points. People who have injuries, mobility issues and who are pregnant or elderly should not come as it is not suitable
