Description

Discover longest running Salsa experience in Puerto Rico which is led by a local Puerto Rican dancer. Sip a complimentary Caribbean cocktail, learn Latin dancing steps and techniques, get a cultural history lesson about music in the Caribbean, and leave for a night out on the town, dancing to a live band at a local Salsa bar. Find out how in Puerto Rico Salsa is more than just a dance class, it's a way of life! Meet up at an outdoor lounge where you start with a rum punch as we get to know each other. Then you'll learn the basics to Latin dancing. Start with an easy step, 'Merengue,' to learn the basic techniques. Then learn 'Salsa de Calle' which means 'Street Salsa;' the style all the Puerto Rican locals dance. Now you’re ready to hit the dance floor! Travel to a nearby nightlife hot spot where to see a live Salsa band and locals dancing! You can join in, or just watch and enjoy the show.

Important Information

There is no dress code, but remember we are dancing outside in the Caribbean and it gets hot, so please dress accordingly Other things to note: The experience is rain or shine. The meetup location is an outdoor bar, however the dance class area is covered and protected from rain. You don't need any prior dancing experience. We go to different Salsa bars on different nights of the week, so the live music venue will vary depending on what night you book. After our dance class, I'll take you to a Salsa bar that's about 10 minutes away from the meetup location. Once we get to the bar, you're welcome to stay as long as you like. Whenever you are ready to leave, you will need to find your own way home. Ubers are readily available.
