Description

Easily explore the waters of San Juan on this guided sea trekking tour. A specialized helmet allows you to walk the ocean floor and see colorful corals and marine life. No swimming or scuba diving experience is required to participate. Be on the lookout for squid, octopus, starfish, sea urchins, and seahorses. Make your way to the Caribe Hilton in San Juan to begin your sea trek experience. Meet your professional sea trek guides on the hotel's private beach. Get a safety briefing and orientation, including hand signals for communicating underwater and a full description of what you can expect. Sea trekking is a great way to explore underwater if you have glasses or contacts, as your head will stay completely dry and you can avoid the hassles of salt water in your eyes or blurred vision. Children ages 8 and over are welcome to participate, provided they weight 80 lb (36kg) or more. Once you're ready to begin, wade slowly into the shallow end of the calm, protected cove. Accompanied by your instructor, spend time underwater, moving at your own pace. Walk toward the deep end of the cove, where you can see squid, octopus, starfish, sea urchins and see horses, depending on conditions. After your sea trekking experience, head back to the beach to learn more about the marine life you saw. Opt to purchase the underwater photos taken of you on your tour. Bathrooms, changing rooms and shower rooms are available to all guests after the tour has concluded.
