Looking for a place to eat in the Porta Antillas (East) Region of Puerto Rico? Anchoring the row of food kiosks, adjacent to world renowned Luquillo Beach, La Parrilla Restaurant has built a solid reputation among tourist and locals alike. This lively open air venue serves excellent food with fantastic service to match.
Chef and owner Ricardo Alvaro is passionate about food and takes pride in serving his guests' traditional Puerto Rican cuisine and seafood prepared with the freshest ingredients available. He is so confident in his creations that if you are not happy with your meal he will change it to something else, no questions asked. At La Parrilla Restaurant, perfectly grilled Lobster, Red Snapper and well-aged steaks are the star of the show. Diners can select their lobster from a holding tank near the entrance, if you prefer a tasty red snapper either fried or grilled they are displayed on ice next to the spiny lobsters. For meat lovers, aged filet mignon or NY Strips are expertly prepared to your liking. A cut into a tender medium rare filet reveals a succulent, juicy inside - just perfection!
One thing that you must try on a visit to La Parrilla Restaurant is one of their daily soup selections; they are out of this world.
Other menu items include traditional Puerto Rican appetizers and main courses like alcapurrias, pastellios and mofongo. Also, try the avocado stuffed with shrimp or the stuffed pineapple - both are incredibly delicious.
Don't forget to leave room for dessert, all selections are homemade with the award winning four-milk cake is a must try.
