For a taste of authentic Puerto RIcan food, Pollos Necos is a great choice. Located at the start of the central mountain range in Ciales, the restaurant is perched on the side of a mountain offering beautiful panoramic views of 'Paseo lineal'.
The specialties are rotisserie chicken and succulent ribs which you can combine with great side dishes such as 'yuca al mojo', out of this world sweet potatoes, rice with pigeons peas -'Arroz con Gandules' and 'alcapurrias'-mash plantain filled with beef. The food is fresh, delicious and inexpensive.
The service is very friendly and informal. It's where locals eat. Pollos Neco is open Thrusdays through Sundays, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Get there before 3:00pm if you want to experience the full menu.. Enjoy!
