Being slightly more expensive than your average restaurant indicates that Pura Vida is most suited for special occasions, or romantic meals on the outdoor terrace. The interior decoration takes a modernistic approach of open spaces, contemporary art, and a rustic wooden bar for refreshments.

The waiting staff and bar team have a reputation of ensuring all diners have an enjoyable experience and convey great knowledge of the food and drinks menus. Typical items on the menu include many classic dishes that have been supplemented with tofu instead of meat. For an appetiser the salads are a great choice boasted by their fresh ingredients and professional presentation, or alternatively a great variety of soups are on offer including daily specials such as pumpkin soup. At the bar the sangria is particularly delicious, compiled with fresh fruit for a lingering taste.
