Casa Bacardi Distillery Tour

One of the more popular things to do in San Juan Puerto Rico is a visit to the Casa Bacardi Distillery in the San Juan Metro town of Cataño. This generally entertaining tour takes place in a new visitors center building located on the campus of the distillery with beautiful views of the harbor and Old San Juan. Learn about the history of sugar cane in the Caribbean and how rum making started on the islands. You will be treated to an enjoyable film about the history of Bacardi and the company's rum-making process.

Tours operate:
Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm until 4:30 pm

How to get to Casa BACARDÍ

By Car:

• If you are coming from San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde or the East side of the Island,
• Take connecting roads to Expressway 22 West toward Bayamon.
• Take Exit 7A, Road 165 toward Cataño.
• At the bottom of the exit, continue straight through the light on to Road 165.
• Take the third exit to the right.
• At the end of the exit ramp, turn right.
• Casa BACARDÍ main gate will be on the left. 

• If you are coming from Dorado or the West side of the island,
• Take connecting roads to Expressway 22 East toward Bayamon & San Juan.
• Take Exit 7a, Road 165 toward Cataño.
• At the bottom of the exit, continue right and straight through the light on to Road 165.
• Exit at the third exit to the right.
• At the end of the exit ramp, turn right.
• Casa BACARDÍ main gate will be on the left.

• Taxis are available in the tourist zones and at hotels.
• Uber is available in all of Puerto Rico.

• The ferry is available from Pier 2 in Old San Juan. It departs every thirty minutes and is fifty cents each way. When you arrive at the Cataño pier, you will find taxis on the right at the bus station. Casa BACARDÍ is a short two miles taxi ride away.
