San Salvador Rainforest Adventure

An incredible adventure in the secluded Carite Rainforest near the city of Caguas, Puerto Rico. The forest is only 40 minutes away from San Juan and the company provides transportation. Ecoquest is the only ecotourism company allowed to operate in this virgin rainforest once inhabited by Taino Indians. The rainforest is clean and quiet, the water is so pure you can drink it. This tour is consistently chosen as one of the best things to do in Puerto Rico!

This wonderful full day tour includes a hike through a pristine river, climbing up and down beautiful reddish colored rocks, belaying up and then rappelling down a majestic 80 foot waterfall. There are also 3 zip line crossings, one crosses almost 400 feet over a breathtaking canyon and waterfall. This moderately challenging tour takes 3-4 hours. Ecoquest provides fresh fruit and a mouthwatering homemade Puerto Rican meal in a typical countryside setting.

Transportation pick-up for this adventure starts at 8:00am with drop off in San Juan at 4:00pm. Cost per person: $139 + tax.

Participation on this adventure is limited to persons between 11 and 65 years of age, in good physical condition and with no recent injuries, surgeries and/or pregnancies. We accept participants weighing 230 lb.. or less; if the participant is 6' tall or taller we can accept up to 250 lb.. For safety reasons we take a maximum of 12 participants per session.

Participants on this tour should wear bathing suit underneath shorts, good traction sneakers, small backpack, towel, change of clothes including 3 T-shirts, change of shoes and bottle of water.
